At New York Tech, our focus on technology is enhanced by our humanity, our civic-mindedness, and our drive to make the world a better place. Each year we put that spirit into action on Community Engagement Day, which will take place this year on April 10. Since 2018, over 1,500 volunteers have participated in more than 60 community service activities and contributed over 1,750 community service hours.

On Wednesday, April 10, students, staff, faculty, and alumni are encouraged to:

  • Volunteer individually or as part of a group with area nonprofit groups (opportunities are remote as well as in-person).
  • Educate others about work and research that addresses social issues.
  • Promote community projects and fundraisers scheduled after April 10.

There are many ways to participate. To see a list of about two dozen projects, please click to open this spreadsheet. Each line details a project. Students can sign up for a project by clicking on a link in Column I. Alumni, faculty, and staff can use a link in Column H.
